Who’s ready for another Spoooooky Season Episode?!

Bettina begins with the outrageous story of Mary Ann Cotton. “Sing? Sing? What song should I sing?
Mary Ann Cotton is tied up in string…” Did we mention this tale was outrageous??

Beth keeps with the outrageous theme and covers the tales and stories of BEKs…Black.Eyed.Kids! Beware! And, don’t let any children in to use the restroom… just send them to Hardees for Ketchup!

Cheers!

Have you ever heard of Gastric Fever? If not, you’ll definitely know what it is after listening to our episode on Mary Ann Cotton. The term Serial Killer had not been coined in 1852, but that’s exactly what Mary Ann was. From 1852 to 1872 she killed no less than 21 people, mostly children. She was hung in 1872 and shortly afterwards a nursery rhyme about her was sung, perhaps the children she killed joined the living children singing it? Creepy! After listening to the episode, the nursery rhyme will make more sense.

Mary Ann Cotton, she’s dead and she’s rotten. She lies in her bed With eyes wide open. Sing, sing, oh, what can I sing, Mary Ann Cotton is tied up with string. Where, where? Up in the air Sellin’ black puddens a penny a pair. Mary Ann Cotton She’s dead and forgotten, She lies in a grave with her bones all-rotten; Sing, sing, oh, what can we sing, Mary Ann Cotton is tied up with string.

BEKs, Black Eyed Kids. We don’t know why we both mention children in Episode 146, but believe us, the children mentioned in the True Crime are completely different from the BEKs. There are so many reports of people’s encounters with BEKs, they knock on car windows when people sit in their parked cars, they knock on the front or back doors of houses, they knock on windows of homes and after the knocks are answered they ask if they can come in. It is human nature to want to help a lost or hurt child, but that instinct is quickly turned to dread as the BEKs look into your face. Their eyes are completely black. Listen as Beth shares some of the many reports from people who have encountered these terrifying creatures. And since we care, we will highly advise , should they come visit , DO NOT LET THEM IN!!

Mary Ann Cotton was considered attractive in her time. There must have definitely been some kind of draw to this self centered woman. Photo Source

Supposedly this little girl, who ever or whatever she is, has appeared to two unrelated people within a span of several years in Cannock Chase, England. Would you let her in? Photo Source
