Beth and Bettina “visit” Nevada in this week’s episode… be prepared! Beth covers the mysterious premonition of death had by a young Kathy Hobbs. How did she know she was going to die? And, how horrible to have died, potentially, by the hands of a serial killer. Bettina (freaks Beth out) and shares the history, bizarrr-ity, and hauntings at the Clown Motel. I mean, I don’t know about you – but, hauntings from the cemetery right next door to the motel is more ideal than a clown standing over me while I sleep … what do you think?? Cheers!
“I don’t want to get any older” Kathy Hobbs told her mother, Vivian, when she was just a little girl. This was not a one time thing. Kathy didn’t want to get older because she was convinced she was going to die when she was 16 years old. Kathy was a very withdrawn child spending her time at home reading books. After her parent’s divorce Kathy and her younger sister moved to Los Vegas with their mother. There Kathy became a little more social until 4 months before April 20, 1987, her 16th birthday, . Was Kathy right? Did she die when she was 16? Listen as Beth takes us through this very odd case.
Tonopah is a small town in Nevada. Once a popular mining town now a town with a population of just under 2,500. One of the attractions in Tonopah is The Clown Motel, which sits right next to the Tonopah Cemetery. The cemetery is interesting in itself. The graves are lined with rocks and most of the headstone are made of wood. There have been many reports of apparitions seen coming up from their graves, disembodied voices and screams heard coming from the cemetery. The Clown Motel is also very haunted, and not only haunting with all the clown figurines, dolls and paintings staring at you, 2,000 to be exact! But many other things have been reported by the housekeepers and visitors to the motel. Listen as Bettina share some of the reports with you.
