The internet has become the means of our day to day. There are great things on the internet, but it can also be a place of some scary things. This week Beth shares the tragic true crime story of the abduction and murder of 13 year old Kacie Woody. A young girl who trusted the wrong person on the internet. Then Bettina lightens things up a bit for the “paranormal” portion of the episode – telling us the story of Devil’s Hole Cave as well as a few… random?… facts of Arkansas. Cheers!

We know “stranger danger”, kids from preschool on up know of “stranger danger”, but how much do we really know about the dangers of the internet? On Dec 3, 2002 Kacie Woody and her family learned the horrible reality of the existence of online predators. In this episode Beth talks about some safety precautions to take to keep you and your family safe online. She goes on to talk about the case of Kacie Woody. Kacie thought she was chatting with 17 year old Dave Fagen from California, but was actually talking to 47 year old David Fuller. What ensued was a chain of events that ended tragically.

This year, 2022, is the 20th anniversary of Kacie Woody’s death. In life she was a bubbly, energetic girl whose favorite color was yellow. She was kind and had a smile she readily shared.
