26. Where the True Crime Genre began, and a Trekkie with a Rolling Ball in Kansas

Summary

This week’s stories are from the state of Kansas. And, with that being where Bettina is from she thought it most obvious to bring a cocktail made famous by her husband, Tom… Captain Tommy’s Margaritas! Beth tells the true crime story this week, covering the truly terrible story of the Clutter Family deaths in Holcomb Kansas.  You may recognize the crime from the novel In Cold Blood, by Truman Capote. But, Beth tells it a little differently than what you may remember from the book. Bettina ends the episodes with tales of a haunted Manhattan Kansas. She was even able to conduct an interview from someone’s first hands experiences around the college town.  Support Killer Hangover now on Patreon : https://www.patreon.com/killerhangoverpodcast
