105. The Smiley Face KillerS and The Prophesies of the Simpsons

Since 1997 hundreds of collage aged men have died of undetermined or accidental drowning across the Midwest. These men share commonalities, they are althletic, intelligent, and well liked. They were all out drinking with friends on the night they went missing and a vast number of the men left the place they were drinking at ALONE. Most of these deaths have been closed because no foul play was suspected, and yet…there are so many questions surrounding their deaths. Why do some of their bodies have evidence of only being in the water for hours and not the days or weeks they have actually been missing? What are the marks that look like they were caused by restrains found on their wrists and ankles and the ligature marks around their necks necks? Why is it that a smiley face is graffitied near most of the bodies? These are just some of the questions being investigated by retired NYPD detectives, Kevin Gannon, Michael Donovan, Anthony Duarte and retired criminal justice professor Dr. “Doc.” Lee Gilbertson. Is there more than one person acting in these crimes? Could it even be a network of individuals? There is no way to prove that the cases are connected so what the retired detectives and “Doc” are doing is questioning these deaths, investigating, and finding evidence to turnover to the authorities in hopes that they will opening the cases and taking another look into the deaths of these young men.
